Η Alicia Keys, στο Νο1 μας τραγουδούσε το βραβευμένο με γκράμι “No one” από τον τρίτο δίσκο της, “As I Am”, με την υπέροχη soul φωνή της… Εκπληκτικός όλος ο δίσκος, από μια τραγουδίστρια που μεσουράνησε στα 2000s και εξακολουθεί να μας χαρίζει πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες δουλειές, έστω κι αν δεν γνωρίζει την τεράστια επιτυχία εκείνων των ετών.

Ήταν η χρονιά του θανάτου της πριγκίπισσας Diana και, παρόλο που είχαν περάσει αρκετοί μήνες, τα Χριστούγεννα το τραγούδι του Elton John “Candle in the wind 1997“, που ερμήνευσε στην κηδεία της Lady Di, κρατούσε γερά στην κορυφή του Hot100. Ένα από τα πιο επιτυχημένα τραγούδια όλων των εποχών.

Ναι, το 1987 ήταν τριάντα χρόνια πριν. Εμείς οι 40 και κάτι προσπερνάμε την ανατριχιαστική αυτή λεπτομέρεια και σιγοτραγουδάμε το χριστουγεννιάτικο Νο1 εκείνης της χρονιάς. Αααχ…Είναι το “Faith” του αγαπημένου και πρόωρα χαμένου George Michael. Δεν έχω λόγια για το τραγούδι αυτό. Όσοι ήμασταν έφηβοι εκείνοι την εποχή… ξέρουν τί εννοώ.

Δυστυχώς και τότε είχα γεννηθεί. Αλλά μάλλον ήμουν πολύ μικρός για να τραγουδούσα τότε το χριστουγεννιάτικο Νο1 εκείνης της χρονιάς, θυμάμαι όμως να το νιαουρίζω στο δημοτικό, καθότι αγγλικά δεν εγνώριζα. Από τα πιο γλυκιά (έως γλυκερά) τραγούδια εκείνης της εποχής, που το θυμόμαστε μέχρι σήμερα: “How deep is your love” των Bee Gees

Ε, όχι, τότε δεν είχα γεννηθεί! Αλλά τα παλικάρια που είχαν κατακτήσει τον κόσμο εκείνα τα Χριστούγεννα τα ξέρει όλος ο κόσμος. Ιδανικός αποχαιρετισμός στον παλιό χρόνο και στον παλιό κόσμο, και καλωσόρισμα της φοβερής χρονιάς του 1968. Εμείς πάλι στην Ελλάδα, είχαμε Χούντα. Αλλά κι εδώ, έσκιζαν οι Beatles και το “Hello, Goodbye“. Το τραγούδι είναι υπέροχο, αξιοσημείωτες είναι ασφαλώς και οι ενδυματολογικές επιλογές…
