Κάποιοι θεωρούν τα αθλήματα ένα χόμπι, κάποιοι τη ζωή τους και κάποιοι τα θεωρούν μία μορφή τέχνης. Όταν ο Καμί που κάποτε υπήρξε τερματοφύλακας ρωτήθηκε από τον φίλο του Καρλ Πονσέ, τι θα διάλεγε, ένα παιχνίδι ποδοσφαίρου ή μία θεατρική παράσταση, ο Καμί απάντησε χωρίς δισταγμό, έναν ποδοσφαιρικό αγώνα, συμφωνώντας κατά κάποιο τρόπο με την απάντηση του, ότι και τα δύο αυτά δρώμενα, αποτελούν τέχνη.
