Ο Morrissey ανακοίνωσε προχτές ότι ο νέος του δίσκος θα λέγεται I Am Not a Dog on a Chain (μια αιχμηρή και σαφής απάντηση σε όσους τον κατηγορούν για τις απόψεις του). Η παραγωγή θα είναι του Joe Chicarelli, ενώ το άλμπουμ θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 20 Μαρτίου – πολύ νωρίτερα απ’ ό,τι φανταζόμουν, οπότε ανυπομονώ διπλά.
Ταυτόχρονα παρουσίασε το πρώτο single απ’ τον δίσκο, που ουσιαστικά είναι ντουέτο με τη θρύλο της Motown, την τραγουδίστρια Thelma Houston.
